Class Schedule- Online and In-Person

The 10-month course runs from mid-January to mid-November. The material is presented in five units, with a one-week break between each unit.

Each unit consists of 18 classes:

  • Eight Lecture (Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30pm PST online)
  • Eight Skill Development sessions (Saturdays from 10 to 2pm PST online and in-person)
  • Two Intuition Development sessions (Sundays from 10 to 3pm PST online and in-person)

The Wednesday sessions include a lecture and demo. The following Saturday is a practice session with fellow students. Saturday sessions offer a thorough practice and deep understanding of lab materials, as well as an extended practice of muscle testing. The Sunday sessions provide an exploration of metaphysical skills, developing awareness of energy patterns through guided meditations, and an intuitive review of current class topics.

In order to ensure that students seeking certification receive the needed instruction, practice time and support, there is a course attendance requirement. Students may miss a maximum of six Lecture and/or Lab sessions and two Intuition Development or Skill Development sessions throughout the class year. If circumstances require that you miss more sessions, please discuss the situation with your instructor. For online students, attendance in the once a month weekend classes in-person is highly recommended. Additionally, online students who are interested in the 2-year certification program must attend at least half of the weekend classes in person each year! Students must also submit all open-book unit tests and pass the oral final test.

Description of Classes in Each Unit

Unit I: Bones, Joints, Muscles, and How Feelings Affect Them

As we begin to study the complex interface between feelings, memories and physical effects, you will learn how the body-consciousness can guide you toward the release of negative imprinting and the elimination of intrusive energy fields. You will be able to communicate with the body-consciousness in a way that allows it to convey the information you have requested.

Detailed physiology involving muscle movement, bone mineralization, and tendon and disc repair will be discussed. You will find out how to activate the healing process, in case some of this is functioning less than optimally.

Unit II: Digestion and Allergy

In the second unit, you will learn the structures and functions of the stomach, pancreas, liver, gall bladder and intestines, and how to assist the body in regulating digestive secretions through a combination of nutritional support and meridian releases.

Next will be a survey of reactive responses to foods, fuels, pollens, and animals. You will learn to trace the amino acid utilization disorders that are associated with various allergies and how to shift the effects that are having on the biochemical processes. You will learn how to differentiate between an allergy and a digestive issue, and release the unresolved emotional charge or negative association that otherwise would have continued to maintain the dysfunctional response.

Unit III: Endocrine glands, Kidneys, Eyes, Ears, Hair, Skin and Nails

The first five classes in this unit cover hormone functions, feedback systems and interactions among the endocrine glands. First will be the pineal, hypothalamus and pituitary, then thyroid and parathyroids and their role in calcium equilibrium and metabolic regulation. Adrenal issues will touch on the role of corticosteroids and fight/flight adaptation. Male and female hormones will be covered, and the identification and correction of inaccurate hormone synthesis will be shown.

The last sessions of this unit concern kidney, its role in maintaining blood pressure and pH, and a detailed discussion of filtration and electrolyte balance. The eyes, ears, and skin are also governed by the kidney meridian, so they are included here

Unit IV: Blood and Lymph, Heart and Lungs, Nerves and Brain

The first half of the fourth unit begins with blood, lymphatic circulation, cellular and humoral immunity, the inflammation process, clotting mechanism, oxygen transport and lungs. This leads to a discussion of the heart and arteries. Next, we will be taking a look at blood lipids and cholesterol and the metabolic pathways of essential fatty acids that lead to the synthesis of a balanced array of prostaglandins.

The brain and nervous system come up in the second half of this unit. You will learn to track nerve conduction from brain to motor endplate, and check on the biofields of the basal ganglia, cerebellum, spinal cord, axons, myelin sheaths and synaptic knobs. You will be able to coach the body to synthesize its own neurotransmitters and harmonize their interactions within the brain in order to stabilize emotional confusion, lift depression, and address the reasons for memory loss, dyslexia and hyperactivity.

The neurotransmitters emphasized are serotonin, dopamine, acetylcholine, norepinephrine, GABA, glutamic acid, taurine, glycine, and insulin. The detoxification pathways will be discussed, and the release of toxins and heavy metals will be shown.

Unit V: Nutrient Function, Interaction, and Utilization

The first two weeks of the last unit concentrate on the characteristics and metabolic pathways of amino acids. In the third and fourth week we explore the action of vitamins, B-vitamins and oil-soluble vitamins, separately and in collaboration. During week five and six, we cover minerals, their specific roles as nutrients, and you will know how to regulate excessive absorption, deficiencies, and uneven distribution.

In week seven, legal constraints upon this kind of practice will be mentioned. Suggestions will be given about how to protect you, metaphysically and professionally.

A few things will be discussed about what is involved in starting a practice of this kind: how to organize your books, your publicity, suppliers, applying for a resale license, taxes and withholding if you have employees, and signing up for liability insurance.

The final session will be a potluck party celebration and the awarding of diplomas from the Bioenergy Balancing Center® indicating completion of the course.

Certification

If you choose to become a Certified Bioenergy Balancing Practitioner, you will take the class twice. While comprehensive and complete, this 10-month training, taken only once, does not give enough exposure or provide enough experience to qualify students for the credential that needed to do this work professionally. However, without receiving certification, you could weave some of these skills and concepts into your current work. You would not claim to be a Bioenergy Balancing Practitioner, but you could adapt it to your current practice, as well as work with family and friends.

During the first year, the material is designed to provide an overview of the physical and energetic systems of the body, their interaction, and how to effect positive change within these systems, using one’s knowledge, intuition, and experience.

The second year develops your proficiency, and deepens your understanding of the material. During the second year, you integrate the knowledge and refine clinical aspects to develop an organized approach, progressing from student to professional-level practitioner. Those who complete the second year find that their knowledge and experience goes much deeper, and they become more confident and comfortable with the work.

Practitioner candidates must complete the 5 open-book/take-home study guides (one per unit) that provide an excellent review of each unit, and they need to pass the qualifying exam given by the Bioenergy Examining Board. This exam consists of a verbal section as well as a practicum to evaluate your knowledge, hands-on skills, and your client rapport.

The qualifying exam is given each year after the end of the class year, and practitioner candidates go through this process together. Test questions are provided in advance, so you will know ahead of time what you might be asked. The exam process is designed to be non-threatening, and is intended to review your skills and knowledge both technically and clinically, in a friendly exchange with our examining board. It is meant to give you a feeling of confidence and empowerment, as you demonstrate your ability to practice this work effectively.

Upon fulfilling these requirements, you will receive a certificate authorizing you to practice Bioenergy Balancing as a professional health practitioner. Certified practitioners may use the Bioenergy Balancing name and logo, as long as their practice falls within the guidelines that we have agreed upon.

As a certified practitioner you may use our logo, and a clearly modified version of our registered name, Bioenergy Balancing Center® or any other name or logo of your choice, as long as your practice falls within the guidelines that we have agreed upon.

When you register for the class we will send you the professional agreement that covers the parameters of this practice, so that you will have a clear picture of what what the expectations are when you choose to become a practitioner.

Community

As a member of the class you will be invited to attend the Kindred Spirits Group meetings, an on-going community of people who are practicing Bioenergy Balancing professionally. During our meetings we share clinical experiences and discoveries, support one another’s growth as practitioners, discuss events and topics of interest, participate in group healing experiences, share wonderful food and laughter, and create a loving and supportive atmosphere as friends, healers and metaphysicians.

Some Things to Consider About Taking this Training

Students who undertake this training need to bring with them a natural gift for receptive listening and sensitive counseling. Although vibrational healing is not “therapy” and this class doesn’t teach therapy, counseling skills will be discussed, demonstrated, and practiced.

Your effectiveness as a practitioner—whatever your technical expertise may be—depends upon your ability to tune in to others, and to facilitate solutions in a way that is empowering to them.

You must have the stability to stay present without feeling threatened when your clients experience intense emotional distress. You must be verbally articulate, and skillful enough to guide them toward self-discovery without intruding, or telling your own story, or judging or minimizing their experience.

The more familiar you are with these concepts and the more inner work you have done, the more effective you can be when you need to assist with complicated and confusing issues that others present to you.

As a prospective student, you are advised not to take this training if you are stressed out, over-extended, physically ill, or emotionally troubled. Do not take this class if your major intention is to use it as a way to work on your own physical or emotional needs. You will be more of an asset to the class if you feel secure within yourself, have the time to study and read additional material to share and discuss, and are already in a strong position to reach out lovingly to others.

It is to be expected that personal issues and areas for healing will arise. If you feel fragile and you have troubling issues, keep in mind that the other students are amateurs, and during lab sessions they may not be able to address your concerns fully, due to their lack of experience. You might feel uncomfortable or frustrated. If this comes up, you can decide to work on your issues privately with the BBC staff, concurrently with the class.

The lab is a time for practice, for learning to speak clearly to the body-consciousness and is intended to link the lecture material with the vibrational requirements of the physical body. It will surely be beneficial for you in many ways, over time, as everyone’s issues eventually are addressed during the months we are together.
